The genius of the emperors and our Caesars

I’ve found that most people who see a difference between Romney and Obama have misidentified the root cause of the problems that we face as a nation. And, when you see a difference between the two parties, you believe that there is balance.

But that’s where you’re wrong.  They are two sides of the same coin.  We only have one major party in this country, and it is the Republicrat party of debt, war, and enslavement. I reject it with every fiber of my being.

There are three major problems that we face. They are the same three problems that have brought down every civilization throughout history. I will explain the problem, provide the solution, and explain why there is no difference between Obama and Romney.

This ancient Roman coin was minted in the third century B.C. as the empire was being devastated by civil war, failed conquests, plague, and economic collapse. The inscription translates as "The genius of the emperors and our Caesars."

1) Debt. While government spending is a factor in our debt, it is a secondary factor. In fact, it’s more of a symptom. The root cause is our currency. Our money itself is debt, and can only be created as debt. The Federal Reserve System does this primarily through fractional reserve lending. New money can only be created by new debt, and can only be paid off with new money that must be created by new debt. It is an unsustainable system by design. The only way to solve it is to end the Federal Reserve System and create a new currency that is not a debt instrument, and ideally is backed by something of intrinsic value. The only reason that our currency has not yet collapsed is because of the PetroDollar created by Bretton Woods. Thanks to BRICS, that will soon be ending. Neither Romney nor Obama will do anything to fix the currency problem, and both support the existing Federal Reserve System. Thus, no difference.

My candidate wants to end the Fed, return to a gold-backed currency and eliminate the IRS.

2) War. Throughout history, every major empire has fallen because they overextended militarily. We are definitely on the same path. We are engaged in active conflicts in a dozen or so nations. We have a military presence in 130 nations. There are several more major wars on the horizon, and there is no end in sight. For example, the next war will be Syria. Turkey, being a NATO member, has already invoked article five of the NATO charter, which requires the US to defend them in their border skirmishes with Syria. Iran and Syria have a mutual defense treaty, so if we support Turkey, we will be at a de facto state of war with both Syria and Iran. China, India, and Russia all have major economic interests in Iran, one of their biggest oil exporters, and they have said they may come to Iran’s aid in such an event. The potential to escalate into a third world war is very real, and it would decimate us in lives and treasure. Both Romney and Obama have taken a militaristic approach to Syria and Iran. Thus, no difference.

My candidate will withdraw our troops from overseas, use the US military only to defend our own borders, and return to what our Founders envisioned for our foreign policy, which is “Free trade with all, entangling alliances with none.”

3) Police State. Our government, under all past Presidents going back to Reagan, has become more and more aggressive toward its own citizens. Our government has completely decimated our Bill of Rights, and legal concepts that predate the Magna Carta. Habeas Corpus no longer exists, having been superseded by NDAA 2012 and HR347. Posse Comitatus is gone thanks to a variety of laws and Executive Orders dating back to Reagan. The PATRIOT Act and Real ID have upended the Fourth Amendment. Obama has supported treaties that would override the Second Amendment, and Romney has reiterated support for them. In fact, Romney signed some of the toughest anti-gun laws in the nation as Governor of Massachusetts, including an outright ban on assault weapons. Peaceful resistance is becoming impossible, therefore revolution is becoming inevitable. Obama signed these laws, a Republican House passed them, and Romney has said he supports them. Thus, no difference.

My candidate wants to end the police state, and repeal every law I mentioned above, thus restoring our Bill of Rights to its original status as written.

Now, perhaps you see why I don’t give a damn whether my vote causes either Obama or Romney to win. The end result will be exactly the same. We will go the way of the Romans.

But, even then, I will sleep soundly knowing that I voted for liberty, as opposed to tyranny in red or blue.
