The Pendulum of Liberty is Swinging
by Paul Henry
History has shown us that many things are cyclical in nature. There are recent times when tyranny trumps liberty, but as a wise man once said, an idea whose time has come cannot be stopped by any army or any government.
Today, the news was that a Judge in New Jersey upheld the ACLU’s injunction against “TRU ID”, the New Jersey version of REAL ID. The story is here.
This along with Pennsylvania’s recent nullification of REAL ID by a Republican Governor and a very bipartisan bill goes to show that the pendulum is swinging back towards liberty. It seems many have given up and accepted REAL ID, such as our own Governor Scott and Attorney General Bondi, both of whom view it as a federal issue. That is not the case. In addition to the above, the Star Ledger newspaper in New Jersey has come out against REAL ID- something that the news media did not do in Ohio or West Virginia, the last two states to surrender their sovereignty and roll over to federal tyranny. In those states, all the media did was report on DMV press releases.
If you’ve visited a Florida tax collector or DMV office, you know the hassle that REAL ID is. The bad thing is, that it has wasted millions of our tax dollars and it cannot do what liberty-killing politicians like Mr. Sensnebrenner say it will.
We have a chance to install some liberty-loving politicians in Tallahassee and DC in November. If you need help identifying them, it’s an easy process- go to Liberty Takeover 2012 and you’ll see a list of candidates that have been asked the tough questions- and have demonstrated not just a knowledge of but a willingness to apply the Florida and US Constitutions when they are in office.
We’ve had year after year and decade after decade of liberty-killers like Jim Sensenbrenner in office. If you’re a sports fan, let’s run a different play.

Floridians Against REAL ID Letter to Rick Scott
Office of Governor Rick Scott State of Florida The Capitol 400 S. Monroe St. Tallahassee, FL 32399-000June 24, 2011
Dear Governor Scott,
I’m certain you receive many letters each day and they are of course screened by staff. For this reason, I would like to share my background with you up front to lend credence to what I am writing about:
I worked in law enforcement here in Florida for 25 years. The bulk of this was with the highway patrol, where I worked my way up to the rank of Lieutenant in criminal investigations before retiring in 2006. I am very well versed in driver’s license fraud and ID theft investigations, having located one of Florida’s most wanted fugitives, Walter Rhodes, in 2003. Mr. Rhodes was involved in the1976 murder of one of our troopers.
I currently lead the citizen’s group Floridians Against REAL ID, which was formed to educate the public about this law and work to repeal it. Read more

US vs. THEM
By Tom Rhodeshttp://www.lpcitrus.blogspot.com
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat or Republican, you don’t trust the information you get from Washington. Like all Americans you are fed up with the fact that you can’t trust Washington. Regardless of what new laws they pass; they either pass the wrong ones or won’t enforce the ones they do pass. The difference between Libertarians and the
Democrats and Republicans is that the Libertarians don’t even pay lip service to the lies of Washington leaders. We don’t get elected because we actually tell the truth.
All sides keep attacking both immigration and tax laws as an example of what is wrong in Washington. These two areas are a threat to our liberty and are an example of the rulers in Washington working at creating a dictatorship or small oligarchy to rule the USA.
History is clear, the easiest way to have dictatorial powers is to create laws that you don’t enforce. You can make everyone a criminal, and with selective enforcement, the government can decide who to jail and who to let free. Without having to abide by the rule of law the government can dictate rather than build a consensus. They can through power and threat ignore the limitations that the people put upon them.
The Dangers And Issues With E-Verify
Paul Henryhttp://retiredpublicsafety.com
Recently we have heard a lot of talk about illegal immigration. This issue has helped to spur things such as the REAL ID Act of 2005, which unconstitutionally changed the way you renew your Florida (and about half of the other states) driver’s license to where you surrender without cause numerous personal papers. The Senator that sponsored the bill said it was to keep illegal aliens from getting a license. The latest push is to crack down on illegal immigrants working in the state. Several bills have been written, notably SB 2040 and HB 7089. I do not support illegal aliens working here, but do support our rights as citizens and smaller governments.
This evening, I received an email from the Tea Party Network stating:
“If your tea party supports E-Verify, please state this and ask the senators to abandon the voluntary language in SB2040 and adopt the mandatory language of HB7089.”
In the bill’s summary, this portion is listed as: “…requires every employer to use federal E-Verify system…”
